My Goals as a Writer...

This semester, I want to focus on writing as more of a personal experience.  I have taken classes where I've obviously had to write analytical papers, poetry, and last semester I took a creative writing class where we wrote short stories.  I have never just taken time to write for myself, which is probably why I never fell in love with the whole process of writing.  So this semester, with my writing notebook, I want to use it to get to know myself during the last year of college so that years from now when I look back at my notebook after my first couple years of teaching, I'll be able to look at what I was thinking, feeling, questioning, etc. during my final year at Mizzou learning all about teaching.  Maybe if I continue to use a writers notebook it will turn into an outlet when I get frustrated in my own classroom???
